Vincent Reed of Helena has claimed a $10,000 top prize for the “$10,000 Taxes Paid” Scratch game with a ticket from Town Pump, 116 Lane Ave.; East Helena.
Vincent buys Scratch tickets from time to time, and also finds himself playing Wild Card and Powerball. He had a particularly lucky week winning $50 then topping it all off with the big one. Vincent plans on using his winnings for many things, starting with great repairs to his cars, and also plans on helping out some of his friends.
“$10,000 Taxes Paid” is a unique Scratch game because the top-prize tax withholdings are paid by the Lottery so the total value of the prize is $14,684 and Vincent received a check for exactly $10,000.
The Montana Lottery was created by referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid more than $459 million in prizes and returned more than $204 million to the State of Montana.
